Operate · xArm 6
Jog it, teach it, check it
Move a simulated xArm 6 on a bench, teach it a pick and place, and check every step against the arm's limits. Nothing here is connected to a machine.
Move the arm
Each joint shows three ranges and a margin. Published: what UFACTORY states; the arm cannot go past it, so a jog stops there. Configured: this bench's chosen range, set in its scene; here it is UFACTORY's published range, and a cell can set a narrower one. Margin: a buffer kept inside the configured range. Operating: what is left. A jog past the operating range still runs here, marked ⚠ ran past a limit, so you can see it; this project plans for a real arm to stop there.

Focus a joint: ← → 1°, Shift+← → 0.1°, PgUp PgDn 10°, Home back to zero, Esc stops the simulation.
Each press moves the tool tip 1 mm in a straight line; hold Shift for 10 mm. The tool keeps its angle.
Teach and check
UnreviewedRecord poses and grips as steps, then check the whole task. Each move is checked along its path, as a joint move (every joint turns steadily from one pose to the next), not only where it ends.
No steps yet. Start from the example, or jog the arm and record your own poses.
Simulated check · not the arm's safety supervisor
Every limit has a kind. A safety alert is about a limit a real arm or cell must never cross: the workspace, a keep-out zone, the payload, or a joint past what UFACTORY publishes. A teaching alert is about a limit inside what the arm can do but outside this bench's chosen limits, or a step that cannot be done from where the arm is (no posture reaches it, or there is nothing to grip or release). Here a move past a limit runs and is marked ⚠ ran past a limit; only a joint past UFACTORY's range, or something that cannot be done at all, is refused (⊘).
A downloaded task is marked Unreviewed, and no controller in this project accepts it.
The scene
Bench cell · v0.1.0 · draftThe ideal part never slips, so grip force and friction are not checked here. The payload check still counts the gripper's mass. The joint-limit, workspace and keep-out rules are ported from this project's arm supervisor, which gives the same verdicts for this arm's model on the same poses (tested on single poses, in a test layout); this bench's zones and clearance are its own. Joint limits here are UFACTORY's published ranges less the margin.

- Held part: hangs below the tool tip, which grips its top face (the default).

- Keep-out clearance 20 mm Placeholder; joint margin 5° Assumed
Positions are in millimetres from the floor below the arm base, as seen from the front of the bench: x to the right, y away from you, z up.
